We have welcomed our first Texas litter at Cherished Siberians! The new parents are our queen, Tatiyana, and our sire, Bogdan. On May 13, in the wee small hours of the morning, two kittens entered the world. One is a brown tabby boy with the soulful eyes of his papa. He is a big and vigorous cutie who loves to wrestle with his sibling and yearns to explore the wider world. The second kitten is a black tabby girl (we think– sometimes it’s hard to tell in early days) with a sweet face and beautiful coat. They are an adorable pair. When Tatiyana was still pregnant I gently cupped my hands around her belly. Her belly was giving off a buzzing sensation! I was so surprised– busy little kittens inside! Later, a couple of days after they were born, the kittens were curled around each other in a furry clump, sleeping. As they slept, they started cooing like doves! Another unexpectedly sweet occurrence.

Now the kittens have open eyes and are wrestling, tumbling and moving all about. Mama Tatiyana keeps them contained and cuddles them all day. She is remarkably protective of them.

So, both kittens have been reserved now. If you are interested in adopting a Siberian kitten of your own, please contact us as soon as we post about the next litter and we will start the adoption process! These kittens will be able to leave Mama at 10-12 weeks of age. They can go to their forever home in late July/ early August. The exact timing depends on the kittens' readiness!
